Un peu bruyant la nuit mais j’y étais pendant une fête dans Ribeira Gravde.

Grundsätzlich ein schönes Haus, stylisch.

Zimmer 01 im EG: Fenster kaputt, konnte nicht geschlossen werden. Da direkt auf die Straße gehend, war die Lautstärke der Tag und Nacht vorbei fahrenden Autos vollkommen unerträglich. Beim Telefonat mit Eigentümer/Verwalter des Objekts wurde Erstattung der 2. Nacht zugesichert, wenn wir ausziehen wollten. Am nächsten Tag, als wir dies eingefordert haben, erfand die Dame plötzlich eine Anschuldigung, dass wir in einem anderen - uns gar nicht zugewiesenen - Zimmer ein Fenster beschädigt hätten 🤔 Die Gäste auf Zimmer 13 haben sich wohl ebenfalls über ein nicht schließendes Fenster beschwert. Jedenfalls drehte die Eigentümerin/Verwalterin den Spieß einfach um und drohte uns die Rechnungsstellung dafür an. Für ein Zimmer, das wir nicht brnutzt hatten! Unfassbare Geschichte. Die Unverfrohrenheit und Abzocke ist einzigartig.

The facilities were clean, new and very comfortable and nice It has toilets and showers in every floor which is super convenient The location is good because it has a quite big parking lot very closeby (just behind the building) and it is in the middle of this small town.

We didn’t see any staff during our stay. We were in a 4 bed room, 2 of the guys left during our stay and the sheets were not changed. It was weird to not see anyone at all working there. We didn’t have any issues so we do not know what would be the response time It says in the description there is a stove but there isn’t so you have to use the bbq which is very time consuming.

What we liked about this place is the place was very clean, there is a cleaning lady every day who takes care of the place. The location of the hostel is great as well and many free parking places just in front of the hostel.

Be aware that this hostel does not have a reception. We reached out for help booking a table at a nearby restaurant, and their response was: "We are not a hotel, so we don't provide that kind of service." For the price we paid per night (105 chf/night), we expected a higher level of hospitality. Even cheaper places such as campsites on Faial Island and Airbnb hosts in Sao Miguel were more willing to assist with restaurant or taxi reservations when needed. Quite disappointing overall! Not coming back!
