It is very clean, with a comfortable queen bed and adequate bathroom

There are 2 flights of stairs that we knew nothing about. The key used to enter the room was not explained and it took 10 minutes to open the door after returning from dinner. A taxi to the Port was problematic and we stood outside for 45 minutes

Very clean

We arrived early about 10 am and were greated outside of the hotel. A very nice gentleman took our bags from the cab and said our room was available for an early check-in. He carried our two large and heavy suitcases up the stairs and put them in our room. We were given a key card and a regular key to get in the outside door. Outside of our room was a common area that had a regular refrigerator/ freezer, tables, and complimentary coffee. The location was outstanding next to a large church and a parade was taking place right under our balcony window. On the morning of our checkout we were able to get complimentary coffee, fruit, cereal, and yogurt. The room was recently remodeled with modern-day motif. The bathroom was large, the water was hot, and very accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and there was a motorized shade the could be used to darken the room.

The only negative is that the lights and electronics are controlled by inserting your key card in a reader inside your room. It is the same key card that must be used to open the door to the common area and again to get into your room. I went for a walk around town and since I had to take the key card, my wife was left in the room without any lights.

La Dolce Vita Civitavecchia is a perfect place in Civitavecchia. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and location is perfect if you have the cruise.
