SEWhen arriving, we were met with tons of locals and tourists having their aperitivos at the restaurant with their dogs in tow. I was so happy, having my own dog way back at home in Sweden, to find so many nice dogs to say hi to. The staff were nice and accomodating, the food was rustic and good - and they changed the menu every day. Perfect place for us.
The bed was slightly to soft.
DELovely staff with enough English knowledge, a decent room with mountain views and the village's best (and during our stay only) cafe/restaurant, with plenty of local Piemonte dishes. Hiking trails pass nearby, and it's a short drive up to Campiglia for lovely hikes up the valley and to San Besso chapel. Although we didn't request it, breakfast was kindly offered for free to us - this is a modest buffet with corn flakes, biscuits and jam; croissants are also available. Loredana's supermarket down the street can't make sandwiches but can sell you a panini cut open en fresh mortadella or salami sausage for an alpine picnic feast. It's just over an hour from Turin airport with low traffic - the road up to Ronco Canavese is narrow and twisting, plan enough time.
The concrete building is not well sound-proofed, conversations in the cafe can be heard in the rooms.
