Great location, it was good for a group hanging out.

The windows are paper thin and there are no blinds. If someone walks by, you can hear a full conversation.

Super clean and new apartment, excellent location with subway nearby, walking distance to everything to Gion and city centre.

Can be a bit cold in winter on the first floor. Kids playground nearby, be prepared.

Pros: - good communication including sending photo directions in the welcome booklet and had copies of instructions for all the equipment on site - fairly good location - but the challenge with Kyoto is having to take the bus rather than the subway if on the Gion side and you are in a more cultural/historic area but 1/2 hr away from Kyoto station (but just you need to plan your days depending on which areas you are planning to go). there are several convenience store options nearby and some easy options for dinner in the faded Furukawacho Shopping Street and the quirky Suzuki Antiques (vintage sumo trading cards etc) to check out - upstairs toilet (especially helpful at night) - umbrellas to borrow

Cons: fairly warm on top floor despite AC. It would have been helpful to have another window to open to allow for cross ventilation quirks of Japanese rentals - some elements are typical of some other places we have stayed in Japan before - the houses and stairs are very narrow so not really easy to get luggage upstairs and would not recommend this house for younger kids not people with mobility issues, doorways are not meant for tall people, generally no dryer just washing machine (but in this rental there was a convenient laundromat just down the street), laundry machine is on the outside balcony, and need to walk through 1 bedroom to get to the other

Very clean, great location, everything in the home was new, functional and easy to use. Loved the washing machine and bath tub. The placed was stocked with hair dryer, kitchen goods, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, etc. It had everything we needed! Location was so convenient too! Absolutely would stay again.

It’s a bit small but honestly was not a problem for us. We are a family of four and it was perfect.
