Hotel Pomelo House

The location was convenient to reach. One of the staff at reception desk was friendly.

The hotel room was not clean. Washroom's shower was not functioning properly. The room was smelly and not so clean. The lock was loose and it came off when i try to unlock the second time and i was charged NPR 900 for breaking the lock, which was not the case, the lock was already not in proper shape. Though i had booked the room for 2 nights, i checked out the very next day as it was not a pleasant atmosphere inside room.

The staff members were really friendly and attentive. Check-in was very smooth, and the room was exactly as pictured. The location of the hostel is great. We got a room without a window facing the street, so we slept really good, but if you prefer a room with a window facing the street, you can let the staff know. The room came with good lighting, a fan, and some details like water, a kettle, and towels, which were really nice. They had the best breakfast for sure. We also ate dinner in the restaurant in the hostel, and it was amazing. If you need any help, they will be glad to help you book a taxi or anything you need for your trip. I was glad to talk with them and get to know more about the culture and more. Thank you so much! I recommend this place for your stay in Kathmandu.

Good and clean room, with an excellent location. The staff was nice and the breakfast delicious. A really good place to stay in Katmandu.

The breakfast is ok. Close to Chhetrapati.

The room is very very very small, and quite dirty. The mattress should have been replaced a looooong time ago. Don't get fooled by the photos, they are 10 years old. This was actually a decent place at the time, but they just let it fall into pieces while they kept raising the price... For 1500 rupees/night, it's probably the worst deal you can find around Thamel. Avoid absolutely.
