Upon arrival, the location appears suspicious: there's no signage indicating a lodge, and no one is present to receive guests. The property resembles servants' quarters, not advertised accommodation. After the initial message, all communication stops for several days—the host does not answer phone calls, WhatsApp messages, emails and no response on the Booking.com platform. Just to add to my experience: About two weeks after the booking failed (which was the host’s fault), the host initially agreed to refund me, seemingly without conditions. But nearly a third week later, he said he would not refund me unless I changed my honest review first. He said he didn’t trust me to remove the negative content in the review after the refund, even though the refund should be unconditional. The title mentions 'possible scam alert' not 'absolute'— I cannot remove that since I genuinely felt scammed. I feel this is really unfair. A refund should be given because they didn’t deliver what was promised — not as a condition to silence honest feedback. I cannot reasonably be expected to write a positive review about a bad experience! The experience was real and had a significant impact on my travel plans. While the refund was the right thing to do, it doesn’t change the fact that the booking failed and caused inconvenience. This kind of pressure clearly goes against Booking.com’s review policy, which protects genuine and unbiased guest reviews. Reviews are meant to reflect real experiences without being influenced by threats or conditions. Latest update: The host refunded me after an argument, saying that he needed a less severe review to keep his business running.

no breakfast. no private showers, we had to share. the road there was very bumpy, sand road.they advertise that Lanseria airport is 4 km from the airport but it in fact 15 km. at 9 minutes to 10 he asked us to vacate the room with our bags. no consideration whatsoever. we r pensioners. perhaps because we were non-white thats why he treated us like that
