Birmingham Central Canal side Living

I was a bit worried about the cheap cost of the apartment and that the owner had not responded to my messages, and with good reason. I called him when I was outside the apartment block only to be told that unless I paid the full going rate £140 per night) I wasn't getting in. It turns out that the owner has had the same thing happen several times and has repeatedly tried to get Booking.com to update the nightly rate on many occasions but to no avail. I advised him to get the apartment off Booking.com so others didn't fall into the same trap, he advised him to contact them to get my money back which I will do. There are plenty of places to stay in Birmingham even at short notice plus I knew it would be too good to be true at £56 for 4 nights so I was prepared. The problem now is Booking.com, that has dented my impression of them for both personal bookings and for the fact that I used to use them a lot for work.

What can I say about this property, was unable to contact the owner by email or phone, booked it months in advance. ended up having to book other accommodation.

No communication from the owner whatsoever. never got to stay in the apartment. looks like to owner made a mistake price wise when booking but did they did not respond to any of my messages Stay clear is my advice..

Host didnt honour booking due to pricing error, booking was confirmed for a couple of months without contact to cancel booking either by email, phone, or upon arrival when called. Claimed he hasn't received a booking and questioning amount paid. Location incredibly difficult to find due to lack of clear signage or a specific address on booking.com. Didn't even talk to me to arrange payment of the correct amount, leaving me to find alternative accommodation on the day of my stay.

It's a nice property in a great location.

No towels on arrival, told we'd get them in a few hours, quiet simply not good enough. no toiletries, no cooking facilities. No running hot water, until I found the emersion tank and turned it on (took almost Two hours to heat properly). We were going out that night and it really slowed us down badly.

oh my goodness! it's the best place I have ever visited of recent time. good environment, clean rooms, best location 👌, friendly workers. I will visit again and again. I have a good time and I really enjoyed my stay.. looking forward for more weekends to spend there.

Really nice ground floor appartment with a lovely view of the canal side looking out to the love lock bridge ❤. Comfortable relaxing stay would definitely book again :-)
