The Harbour Leiden

The location was perfect, very close and within walking distance to everything. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was to a high standard. Room was warm and spacious and had a fantastic view of the canal! The air conditioning was great.

There is a shared kitchen on each floor - the kitchen was well prepped so we could cook all our meals. However we had to be mindful of making too much noise in the morning as it was a shared area between the rooms.

Das Zimmer war sehr laut aufgrund der gemeinschaftlich genutzten Kitchenette. Es wurde von den anderen Mietern keine Rücksicht genommen auf Uhrzeiten (Lärm ab 7 Uhr).

posizione magnifica sul porto di Leiden a 15min dalla stazione. ci sono locani e supermercati a pochi minuti a piedi. Logistica molto comoda.

Gute Lage und sehr freundliche Vermieter. Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig und mit allen ausgestattet was man benötigt. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit Blick zum Kanal.

La struttura è dotata di tutto. La cucina, pur in condivisione con un'altra stanza, è sempre in ordine e viene pulita ogni giorno; ci sono il frigo, il microonde, il fornello, le stoviglie e le pentole. C'è anche la macchinetta del caffè, con le cialde a disposizione, così come anche una selezione di thé. Su richiesta, si può avere accesso anche alla lavatrice e all'asciugatrice. La host Caroline è molto disponibile, risponde subito via sms, cercando di aiutarti a soddisfare le tue richieste. Posto consigliatissimo!

Lack on cups with 2nd room

The property was well managed, and the owner/agent was very proactive in advance and during the stay. The property was nicely fitted and with a good bed. It was very clean with fresh towels. There were some nice strolls around the Singel and canals. It was easy to get into the historic heart of Leiden and the sights of the city.

The property is a good location for the harbour and the historic centre of Leiden, but a bit far from the railway station to walk for an elderly person, so buses or taxis may be needed. This is not the owners fault, but the buses from the station were diverted for the weekend days we stayed so it was not so easy for an elderly person to get too and taxis are expensive in the Netherlands. The stairs are very steep, so it is advisable to think about access if you book this place, but that is true of many Dutch houses.
