Villa Sunset Hydra

Villa Sunset is a beautiful, well maintained and tastefully decorated maisonette with a wonderful view of the Hydra Harbor. The host is thoughtful and responsive. It is basically well-located to enjoy the restaurants and shops of the island.

The amazing view comes with the cost of many steps to reach the villa. It was good exercise so we didn't mind, but we were surprised by the extensive number of stairs and given it was high summer may have picked a location with a lesser view to avoid the climb.

Wow. Villa Sunset Hydra is one of the most spectacular places we've ever stayed. High up on the hill with incredible views over the harbour and out to the Aegean Sea, this white washed villa is immaculate. Everything is fresh and renovated with modern fittings and decor. The host was attentive and helpful, and organises a donkey to take the luggage to and from the ferry to the villa as it is 180 steps uphill to reach it. It is worth it for the views! Hydra is magical - the people, the beaches, coastline, views, culture, and has some great restaurants (our favourite for elegant, vegetarian food and sunset views is Techne). Highly recommend this villa, and hope to return one day.

You need to climb a bit. But it worth it

The apartment is spacious, well equipped. The view from the terrace is fantastic and the host very kind and helpful. I truly recommend it, I felt like at home. it is a very relaxing place :-)

Alexander was a brilliant host and very generously met us at the ferry to ensure we found the accommodation with no problems. The location and view from Villa Sunset is unbeatable and all the facilities were meticulously clean and thoughtfully decorated.

There was very little that could have been improved on during out trip. Two very small points - the mattress is incredibly hard and not particularly comfy. The bed also only had two pillows on it. I think for the price of the property, it could benefit from a comfier mattress and a minimum of four pillows on the bed, possibly with additional cushions.
