Villa Sunset Tides

Очень приятное место, остались только хорошие впечатления. Доброжелательные и отзывчивые хозяева, всегда готовы помочь. Атмосфера спокойная и уютная, чувствуешь себя комфортно с первых дней. Всё необходимое для проживания есть, чисто и удобно. Отличный вариант, чтобы насладиться Шри-Ланкой и отдохнуть. С удовольствием остановились бы здесь снова.

I booked it an arrived in an interval of 50min (because I had issues with my previously booked accommodation). I had to wait for 10min for the host to prepare me the room, but they were nice enough to give me a place to sit and wait :) I am very thankful for such a quick response. Also, everything was very clean and well kept. The place I think is relatively new. Staff was friendly.

I could not get an invoice from them (they handle payments in cash). The balconies are shared, so when my russian neighbor spoke on the phone I would hear everything in my room. Also, the house is locate between to mosques so you can hear the prayers but this did not bother me. Please send me and invoice :( I do need it.

I had a really enjoyable stay here, with a few caveats. First, the positives—the host is an absolute gem! Incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. The place itself was spotless, with a great air conditioner to escape the heat, a spacious and well-maintained bathroom, and a charming terrace perfect for unwinding. The location is right in the heart of the city, which made getting around super convenient.

Now, the not-so-great part—noise. And not just your usual city buzz. Every morning, like clockwork, I was shaken from sleep by the loud, echoing call to prayer from the nearby mosque. As if that wasn’t enough, the railway runs almost right outside the window, bringing with it rumbling vibrations and the occasional blaring train horns. If you’re a deep sleeper, you might not even notice. But if you’re even slightly sensitive to noise (like me), expect some rough mornings.

This accommodation was so nice. I would say it was the best one during my stay in Sri Lanka. It was very clean, everything was very new, you got a really nice comfortable and big bed. You have a balkony and a small kitchen if you need it. Bianca, the owner, is a really lovely person. I felt so welcomed and comfortable there and she is helping you with everything you need. Also she can talk really good English. I also liked the location. It’s a little bit more calm there. It’s not directly in the city center, but weligama is so small, you just walk 200m and then you are in the city Center😁 to the beach you can walk in round about 15 min I think. My stay there was so nice that I decided to come back to this place at the end my trip for my last days :) I would really recommend this one :)

Beautiful and spacious room, kitchen with everything you need, bathroom is excellent. Everything is very clean and new. Unfortunately it is really next to the train and it was louder than expected (trains start really early in the morning hours).

Really clean room and the place looked very new! All the restaurants and beach were 15 minutes walk away.
