Sassi Dream Matera

The location was excellent. The place was very spacious and confortable. It was tastefully decorated and lit, the bed was comfortable.

There was no wifi password, I had to contact the agent; there were no info or recommendations of where to shop or eat; there was no chopping board and no corkscrew!

Great location in old city of Matera, minutes away from the Duomo and main sites to visit. Feels like an authentic Sassi.

Furniture a bit old. No air conditioning but rather just an air humidifier. WiFi did not work and despite every attempt from the owner, it did not work. Bathroom is right next to the living/kitchen room.

The apartment is extremely well located, in the heart of old Matera. If you arrive by car you need to park outside the ZTL zone where the apartment is but you have public parks and private parks nearby. Sleeping in a Sassi was a new and nice experience but still with some limitations, because it can be difficult to have a good Wi-Fi and sometimes sand falls from the ceiling. The apartment is simple but has everything you need and is well cleaned. The owner gently answered to all my questions and helped us in the check out. For those who are an 007 fans, in the last film of the series, the moto shase passes just in front of the apartment!

We were here in August, with the temperature rising to 35 degrees. It was quite hot in the Sassi at night and there was no air conditioning. We were told that Sassi do not need air conditioning because they are normally cold but the truth is when we arrived each night around midnight at the apartment it was really hot. Nevertheless it was an experience that we liked and Matera is an amazing place to visit! Not to be missed!
