The Itchen River Apartments

The apartment was immaculate and had everything you needed . The views from it were stunning . The building was very secure with a gym to use. I would definitely stay there again . We had free car parking space in a secure car park across from the building.

Initial arrival was stressful. I didn’t like having to set up an app to get into the building. When we arrived our sat nav told us we were there but we didn’t know which of the high buildings it was as there was no signage for Itchin River apartments. Asked locals who hadn’t heard of it either and even people that came out of the building ! Had to ring Booking. Com . Maybe the info was in the many links and info we had been sent but we couldn’t find it . Couldn’t seem to find a photo of the outside to help .

It’s is a beautiful apartment with stunning views across the river Itchen. Modern and comfortable and very clean. The location was perfect for us, 10 minutes walk from where our son and daughter in law live and close to shops and restaurants.

The only criticism I have is that the kitchen equipment is a bit lacking. There are no serving spoons or oven-proof dishes that could be used, for example, to make a lasagne. I know that only 2 guests are permitted and so there is only 4 of everything, plates, bowls, cutlery etc and only two coffee mugs, so we kept having to wash things up rather than just pop them in the dishwasher until it was full enough to run a cycle.

This is very special accommodation! Wonderful views and very stylish decor. Comfortable bedding and plenty of wardrobe space.

There is nothing to complain about. We simply loved our stay.
