Park Farm

We stayed in 10 different places during our 10-day walking trip from Birmingham to London - Park Farm was our 3rd stop and ended in our top 3! Friendly and helpful hosts with cute 4-legged companions. The buildings are full of character, surrounded by a beautiful garden and peaceful fields up to the horizon - perfect escape from the city life. Our en-suite room was clean, comfortable and cosy, with all the necessities. I loved my morning cup of coffee with a view at the garden, including a bonus wake-up call by sheep excited about shearing. Breakfast had nice quality, was plentiful and served in a charming room. The farm was not easy to get to, especially on foot, but we knew this when booking and accepted it as an adequate price for the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. We would love to come back for a longer stay, bringing a car this time.

Not a dislike but a suggestion to include some information about the footpath leading to the Park Farm from Lower Shuckburgh through the grounds of Shuckburgh Hall. We stumbled across it accidentally when walking from the Grand Union Canal and found it both a bonus shortcut and a nice alternative to walking along a fairly busy road.

Amazingly beautiful and quiet location, lovely garden and house. Beautiful views accross the countryside.

The location was not so good. The road to the farm was narrow and full of dangerous and deep potholes. There was no warning anywhere about it. Apart from that, the stay was very pleasant and very comfy, with an excellent breakfast!

The road to the farm was perilous, and in the dark, the potholes were not visible. Hopefully, these will be fixed soon, which will make the stay even more pleasant.
