Good location, price and style is pretty good

I booked property at 9am - arrived around 6pm to realise it was double booked. Us and the other quests helped me to reach the owner and the cleaner wich took time, 30min to 1h to get a comfirmation that i wasent able to stay there. We had to use other quests phone credit since there wasent whatsapp number avaible or local. I had to book another hotel at evening. I had to do cancelation my self at the booking.com and zero compensation from the hotel side. Owner did mention this happens often. Place had mold on walls not as clean as in photos.

We had a really nice stay in Villa Sol. It’s perfect for a couple, the location is nice if you don’t want to be in a crowded place. You have everything you need and the owner is very helpful if you need anything. I recommend 🌺

A little bit far away from the busy area but it is so easy to get around with the bikes so we didn’t really mind and it meant it was quiet at night time!

Pas assez d’espace autour de la piscine. Le canapé extérieur est inconfortable. Aucun ménage en trois nuits, il faut le savoir.

Absolutely nothing was worth it. This listing should be removed from Booking.com and Airbnb it’s false advertising at its finest, and the hosts were truly awful.

If I could leave this place negative stars, I would. I highly recommend skipping this listing unless you enjoy overpriced disappointment wrapped in poor hospitality. Let’s begin with the location: it’s far from central Canggu and tucked behind what can only be described as a stylishly disguised junkyard. Upon arrival, I opened the door to a villa that felt more like a sauna than a sanctuary. The space was cramped, had a strong odor (the host blamed the weather, of course), and the AC wasn’t working which I discovered after sweating through the first 10 minutes. The “filtered water station” was a nice touch in theory, but the cold option didn’t work either. I took a cold shower, stepped outside to cool down, and quickly realized the outdoors were more comfortable than the inside. Things went from frustrating to flat-out unacceptable when, while completely nude in my villa, I noticed a construction worker on the property next door with a full view inside. No warning, no notice. Just vibes and violation. When I contacted Booking.com, they agreed the situation was unacceptable and said a refund would be issued if the host approved. Francesca, the host, declined. Instead, she offered to fix the AC without giving any estimated time or follow through. She presented herself as solution-oriented, but actions spoke louder. I booked for a week ($475+ USD) and left after two hours. I’ve stayed all over Bali, and I can confidently say this was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve had not just because of the condition of the property, but because of how little the host cared. I truly believe Francesca is a terrible human being. Book somewhere else with locals. These people are western. Support local hosts and business that value hospitality. There are far better options in Canggu that are central, stylish, and run by people who actually value guests not just profit. Attached is proof of everything, in case you’re curious.
