The Lodge

Quiet location. Simon the host was brilliant and helpful. I had all the facilities I needed to be able to work away from home comfortably. Phone signal was good too. Bed super comfy and as a woman travelling alone I felt safe which is important. Espresso machine a bonus as love my morning coffee. Easy to park as on gravel outside of studio and off the road so secure.

Lovely space, really clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. Really quiet and peaceful area. Hosts were lovely, really helpful.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid This Location I booked this property for 3 days, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. First, the location was extremely difficult to find and is situated very far from the city center. The address provided actually led to a different place. Additionally, there was no car parking available, despite expectations. The accommodation was not as described — it was advertised as a 1-bedroom apartment, but in reality, it was a small studio flat with a sofa bed. We were two guests, and the host informed us that if we wanted to open the sofa bed, we would have to pay an additional £25, which was never mentioned beforehand. After only a few hours, we were forced to leave the property, as the hosts aggressively threatened to call the police simply because a friend visited us briefly and stayed for only 15 minutes. We had paid for 3 nights but stayed barely 3 hours. Despite the circumstances, the host refused to refund any part of the payment. Overall, this was a very unpleasant and stressful experience. I absolutely do not recommend this property.

The Lodge was exactly what we hoped it would be! Quiet and peaceful, exceptionally clean and well equipped. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming as well! We will definitely stay again if in the area
