Old Town Paklenica

The hostess and host are incredibly friendly and warm. For us, it was truly exceptional to be welcomed with such warmth. The apartment is equipped down to the finest details. The bathroom is phenomenally beautiful. The kitchen and living room are wonderfully decorated and fully equipped with all comforts and extras. The beds are very comfortable. There is air conditioning in every room. A beautiful terrace with sun loungers and cozy seating. Warm, ambient lighting. Within walking distance, you’ll find a variety of restaurants. The beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, but here’s a tip: drive a few kilometers further and you’ll discover secluded bays that are easily accessible. We deeply regretted staying only three nights here — we left with heavy hearts. A 10 out of 10 doesn’t even do it justice.

The apartment is perfectly clean and has everything you need. It has a wonderful huge terrace, the beaches and shops are easily and quickly accessible.The kitchen and the bathroom are well equipped, they have practically everything you need for baking, cooking, and grilling, and we can even clean up after ourselves because everything is provided. In fact, it is a perfect location in every aspect.The elderly couple who welcomed us were extremely sweet, helpful and polite,they are fantastic hosts! We wish nothing just the best for the future!

Unfortunately, the elderly couple's relative (daughter?) and their guests were on top of us. A total of five children and two adults. What we didn't expect was that for half of our vacation, the five children ran around the apartment for 1.5 hours every night and kept throwing things on the floor. This specifically caused such a brutal noise, that neither we could rest during this time, nor my daughter could sleep because of them. We asked the lady nicely to pay attention to this, but the answer was shocking. Without apologizing, the lady said that she was the owner here, who had come to rest. She specifically said that if this noise disturbed us, it was our problem and forbade us from reporting it to her more than once. She thought this was completely normal behavior and that we have special needs. We have been going to Croatia for seven years on vacation and we have never met an owner (or guest) who was so unprofessional, rude and disrespectful.She forbade us to make a complaint. She didn't even want to hear about us as paying guests. We arrived to rest, and as everywhere, we were respectful and attentive to the apartment and its residents. If my daughter woke up early after her afternoon nap, I made sure she stayed quiet while the children above (who were obviously still asleep) slept, even if that meant I kept her quiet in her room for forty minutes. For us, it is natural to pay attention to anyone who is staying in the apartment at the same time as us. We suspect that the lady is not a regular guest of the apartment, otherwise not everyone would have such a good opinion.We hope that other guests will be luckier than us and that few people will meet her.The host lady's attitude and communication made it absolutely certain that we would never come here again, and we would not recommend it to our family friends. Apart from that, everything would have been a given for us to be returning guests.

Very nice and helpful owners, accommodation fully furnished and full of nice little things that made our stay more enjoyable. Entrance to the national park a few minutes by car, possibility of walks in the beautiful nature around.

Great, comfy, clean and well equipped apartment in a really central location, there‘s nothing more to ask for.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this apartment in Starigrad! From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly nice and welcoming. They were very flexible and accommodated our slightly earlier arrival, which was such a relief as we were traveling with a child. Their warm welcome made us feel right at home immediately. The host even went above and beyond by personally accompanying us to the nearest beach to show us a convenient shortcut :) The apartment itself is perfect! It was impeccably clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, one of the best features was the spacious and comfortable terrace. The beds were very comfortable, and the layout of the apartment was ideal. The large shared space allowed us all to spend time together, while the two separate bedrooms provided privacy when needed. The location couldn't be better! It's close to the beach, but it's also near the tourist trails in the stunning Paklenica National Park. Overall, we highly recommend this apartment and would love to come back in the future. A big thank you to the hosts for making our stay so memorable!
