Gardeners' Cottage

We loved the property and area information pack received at booking, it was so helpful. The continental breakfast was generous with a variety of scrumptious options 😊. They catered for our gluten free needs as well. So many thoughtful extras and the impeccable quality of everything in the cottage made our stay very special. A peaceful and meticulously maintained property. They are absolutely lovely hosts. We'd love to stay again. Thank you.

Quaint, luxurious, clean. We had one last night in New Zealand and booked this beautiful cottage. We were warmly welcomed by Michele and her lovely dog Baxter. We needed a special diet and on arrival we had more than enough for breakfast. Michele went all out and organised special bread, butter, muesli and milk. Seven different types of tea. There was coffee and Milo. The bed was warm and cosy. Aircon, fan. Extra towels. Even an outdoor bath in the beautiful garden for our private use (bit too cold for us).

That we only discovered it at the end of our travels.

From the get go this beautiful well priced cottage situated not far from the Hamilton gardens in Hamilton knocked it out of the park. Hosted by the lovely Michelle, this incredibly well kept and thought out accommodation was the perfect stop over during our New Zealand travels. Michelle had made sure we had all the necessary information about the property and surrounding areas, and was more than willing to help with any questions. The cottage itself blew us away, with a charming and quaint vibe with all the amenities you would need or want and you could feel the love and care put in to it. This hidden gem has made a lasting impression on myself and my partner and we wish we could have stayed longer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is by far our favourite stay throughout our north island trip. This sweet little cottage is cosy, charming and comfortable. It has everything you need and more. The bed was extremely comfy and the cottage was very clean. Michele & Neil are so accommodating and friendly. They provide a thoughtful continental breakfast, games to enjoy outside as well as the outdoor bath tub. The garden is filled with gorgeous lemon trees and lights up stunningly at night. We recommend to have dinner at Camarosa, it was absolutely delicious. Also take the time to walk through the Hamilton gardens. My partner and I couldn’t recommend this property more for a romantic getaway. Absolutely gorgeous!

We LOVED everything about Gardeners Cottage! Michele and Neil share an incredible vision to have made this place so homely. The freshly cut daffodils and the old-fashioned key were super sweet touches to not only pay homage to the dwelling but the surrounding nature as well. This cottage has the best of everything: here is where you'll find the softest bed in New Zealand - NOT exaggerating. The sheets were equally as comfy, such unmistakably high thread-count, we struggled to leave them! The lounge chairs were just as cozy, positioned perfectly by the windows to enjoy the gorgeous afternoon sunlight. Speaking of, the windows were all furbished with shutters which you could easily open or close for privacy. I really appreciated the dimmable lamps on the bedside tables which were perfect for winding down at night with a book. If cold, you will quickly warm up thanks to the remote controlled heater mounted on the wall. If you're hot, then the ceiling fan will remedy that. The kitchen is fully kitted! You have an electric cooktop with overhead rangehood and all the crockery and utensils you'd need to cook and enjoy your meals. There's a great microwave for your convenience which is thankfully easy to use. The bench/counter was decked with cereal and hot beverages (the black tea and milo were my favourites!). The sink was nice and deep for washing big dishes like the frying pan. The fridge was stocked with such TOP TIER goods, we didn't need to shop for them at the local 4-Square. The bathroom has a towel warmer, a heater & fan, the freshest towels, and in the mirror-cabinet there is even some bug spray and sunscreen if you've forgotten to bring your own (which I did, lol). Although we didn't get the chance to enjoy it, there is an outdoor bath which I can only imagine would be sublime after hiking all day or if you simply wish to soak under the stars.

The 'B & B' sign on your fence doesn't do the cottage justice, you deserve a bigger one so the whole world knows about the gem waiting to be enjoyed!

The Cottage was unexpectedly perfect and probably the best appointed accommodation we have stayed in NZ.

My son and I enjoyed our brief stay there. It was a cure little cottage, very clean, quiet and safe. Would of love to base our stay there in NZ but we were only passing thru. Would highly recommend it. Michele stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. Loved it!

There was nothing not to like about this place.
