Shepherd's Retreat

On arrival we were given fresh eggs from the farm, fresh flowers and a bottle of bubbly. Lovely touches! We would recommend this retreat to anyone. The setting was lovely, the hot tub relaxing and the fire warming. Was lovely watching the sunsets too. The only things that we would recommend are: A freezer section in the fridge Blinds on the door and windows All in all a great couple of days away! The owners are fab.

We had a lovely stay, the site was very secure and the accommodation warm and cosy. The hot tub was a very welcome addition after a long day out and the hosts (and dogs) were very friendly without being intrusive.

There wasn't really anything that we didn't like at all (we will almost certainly aim to go back at some point!). A couple of observations for other visitors though - There isn't a TV, which is actually quite refreshing but worth being aware of! The fridge doesn't have a freezer section, so ice from a supermarket if you need it in a G&T...

There was nothing not to like about our stay. Shepherd’s retreat is the perfect getaway The accommodation was exceptional, very comfortable and extremely clean. The hosts made us feel very welcome, nothing too much trouble. The weather was cold during our stay so we took full advantage of the hot tub after shopping and lunch in Newark which is only a very short drive away. We would highly recommend.

There is nothing negative to say about the whole experience.

I deeply value the incredible experience I had during my stay. It was a haven of comfort and relaxation, and the beauty of the property elevated my spirit. It fostered a perfect atmosphere that I will always treasure. I eagerly anticipate my return next year—this special place holds a cherished spot in my heart!
