Terra House Hostel

When l think of Terra House Hostel, l want to cry. The staff were incredibly kind to me, like a family. Thank you so much for your hospitality and care. The location is perfect. l loved the building and the common areas. But above all, the people in the hostel.

Best and nicest stuff

The staff are super friendly and willing to help with anything you need. We stayed here multiple times in between our treks and they let us leave our bags in their storage room whilst we were gone - it made our travels so much easier. Extremely grateful for everything x

You had to time your showers well so you could get the hot water otherwise it was amazing.

The price and good location. Nothing really special but pretty good. I got a bed already in the morning after arriving with a night bus.

The rooms are very comfortable, great beds and lockers (both of which are quite large). It could be a bit loud up until about 11pm, but nothing earplugs can't handle and things got quiet at a respectful hour, which was appreciated. The staff and volunteers are one of the best parts of this hostel, they were super friendly and always willing to share some mate or tea. There is ample opportunity to hang out and chat while you're acclimating to the altitude, and the staff were super fun company. Also there was hot water with great pressure most of the time, which was incredible. Its about 10 minutes out from the historic center, super close to some neat markets and squares and some nice local restaurants on the street, which were better than the more touristy ones in the square. Overall, very nice.

The wifi is great when it works, but could be spotty. Not a big deal, this is true in most places. Water pressure could be variable in upstairs bathrooms, but always great downstairs, also not a big deal.

Enjoyed to the fullest! The staff and volounteers were amazing. The facilities like the bar, pooltable, pingpong table, hot and pressured showers and servive in general were top notch aswell. During the day I was able to enjoy the relaxed courtyard with some music in the background. Thank you very much for the amazing vibes and stay!!!
