Villa Madeira by LovelyStay

The villa is a perfect position, with amazing sea views & a short walk for different lovely restaurants etc, but in a beautiful peaceful location.

It would be helpful to have a fixed shaded area/different umbrella, as we couldn’t use the umbrella due to the breeze.

There were lots of mosquitoes and it was hot in the house. Screens on the windows and some ceiling fans would make the villa perfect

The location and design of the villa were excellent. The rooms were spacious, well equipped with very clean and very comfortable beds. The pool was excellent and very clean - we paid the extra to heat the pool which was wise as the weather was changeable. We found the area quiet despite being quite central. The location of the property could not have been better placed for our needs - the house is right opposite a very pleasant snack bar and a great Italian restaurant, a 1 minute walk from the bus stop to Funchal, 2 minutes from a small, well-equipped supermarket, and 3 minutes from a really good bakery. The garage parking was spacious and easy to access. We hired a car for the week but such easy access to the regular bus service into Funchal, we hardly used the car. On the return journey, the bus stops right outside the villa. The views from the balcony overlooking the sea and the view in the distance to the Ilhas Desertas was breath-taking.

The villa was excellent, so the couple of niggles we had seem a little churlish. Opening the front door and the door to the garage was tricky and would require several attempts; one of the heavy metal doors to the outside BBQ falls to the ground on opening and the button to start the pool fountain did not work. These niggles were all minor and did not impact our stay. A super location and a well-maintained, beautiful villa.

A first class, modern, spacious house with a splendid sea view. Very confortable furniture and beds, super clean - overall a great stay! The swimming pool was easy to handle and the house is richly equipped with everything needed. From plenty high quality garden lounge chairs to the amaneties in the kitchen. Facility management was easily to reach and the hand-over of key was uncomplicated. Overall a good location, just 15 minutes by car from the airport (but don't worry, no flight routes aboive the house) and also just 15 to 20 minutes away from Funchal. Near to the house are also good restaurants and supermarkets.

There was simply absolutely nothing to complain about.

thank you to MHM for the organization and management. Vila Madeira is peaceful, luxurious, near shops and beaches, and the sound of the wind this season and heated pool were very relaxing

There is a high quality large sunbrella, but it would be better to have a permanent large shelter from the sun
