The manager was not helpful . He sent me a message with how to self check in after I had waited for one hour at the entrance of the guest house. Too late and slow action!

Location is very good. Within the town proper. It's straight forward enough. No fuss. value for money. The sitting room appears to be being repaired. There was a table and kitchen, but since it was under construction, it was messy. Someone was using the washing machine in the kitchen/sitting room. It did not bother us as we were just staying for the night. The rooms are basic. We booked on the day, a few hours before we arrived, and that was great. We were hikers and only really needed a night to stay. We were not fussy about accommodations.

While this type of accommodation is quite straightforward and common in most cities in the UK (not much in the Republic of Ireland), it requires that staff must be helpful. As there is no opportunity to interact with staff, etc., and only through phone. They initially sent us WhatsApp messages. One a written instruction and the other a video. I thought this was great, not only do they give you a written instructions on how to access the accommodation (where to get the keys, where to go, and the house rules. Since we booked for two rooms, we assumed we will get all the keys in one place. We got only one key for one room. So I rang the contact person. However, he was annoyed that we have to ring him. He keeps telling me to check my WhatsApp. I said I did. This went on for a few minutes. It took us a while to understand that the written instruction is for one room and the video is for another room. We thought the video was a generic instructions - an example on how to access the accommodation. Why can't they just write an instruction where they put the codes for each separate keys and perhaps a video for the generic instructions. He could even easily say that the written instruction is for one room and the video is for another room. Instead he preferred to be unhelpful on the phone, and kept repeating the question whether we read his WhatsApp message. . He sounded upset to have customers. Would I recommend this place. Nope. Unless you are stuck. While we were not fussy with the state of the accommodation, customer service and the helpfulness of the business owner is what puts us off. For travelers like us, who were unfamiliar with the place, I little kind help would have been great.

Booked room with private shower but got shared bathroom. Not as advertised.

- Link "Weg zur Unterkunft" lag auf Google Map rund 1 km daneben - Niemand war bei der Ankunft vor Ort - Telefonnummer, die ich per Mail bekommen habe, wurde nicht bedient - nach einer halbe Stunde Warten haben wir von anderen Gästen (sie hatten am Vorabend dasselbe Problem) eine andere Telefonnnummer bekommen. Dann haben wir ein Erklärvideo für den Zimmerzugang erhalten - das Bett war sehr schmal für zwei Personen - im Zimmer roch es nach Urin - extrem hellhörig

is a bit noisy, so maybe bring earplugs if you're that way combobulated.
