Slide Mountain Forest House

We loved staying here. Ralph and his wife are amazing hosts. This is one of the best spots you can stay in the Catskills to go hiking as a lot of trails are nearby. Breakfast was unbelievable, really good and made to order. We really liked the size of the room, the view, and the cleanliness. You can start a bonfire across the property as well! The whole place is just idyllic. We would recommend and look forward to come back!

Great Inn near restaurants, local breweries and a fine trout stream. Staff at the Slide Mountain Inn were excellent. They were courteous helpful and were hard workers. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. At 0830 the bell rings outside to let you know the delicious breakfast is ready to be served. Fresh coffee, bread and fruit is served with choices for a served breakfast, not buffet. The resort has a pool, bar, video games, bowling, fire pit, shuffle board, kayak, rowboat and access on the property to hiking trails. This was our second time there and we will return. The trout were biting on the Esopus as an added bonus!

Wonderful breakfast! Beautiful surroundings! Food in the pub delicious! German beer after a long strenuous walk a bonus.

Breakfast was lavish. We were there for hiking so did not use the pool, tennis court, game room etc. Good value if you intend to use the facilities, else overprices. Nice people.
