Gold Room

Downstairs area was very clean and tastefully decorated. Called in early as I wanted the key as I was going to be late in.

I booked a double room. What i got was a single room, which was shabby. Paint work needed attention. Hosts were out on arrival (10.30pm) Unable to make coffee in the room and didn't like to help myself from their kitchen. When the host arrived back, they put the heating on, which made my room uncomfortably hot. I heard doors banging until the early hours of the morning. There was no lock on the bathroom or toilet door, this made me fill uncomfortable. Left by 8am in the morning and got coffee and pastry at the local co-op.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! It’s perfect. It’s clean and the hosts are super friendly and welcoming. The room is so comfortable, it’s like staying in your family home.

Could not find the location and tried to call the number on the booking but no answer, when eventually found the place it was a run down housing estate and when I arrived there was just a single bed, no towels or kettle as per description! On departure I couldn't have a shower so opted for a quick wash as no lock on the bathroom door or toilet. No towels in bathroom either! So left un refreshed and no drink! In addition there was a very strong smelling reed diffuser in the room that was over bearing so had to put in the cupboard so I could try to sleep. Got woken up at 6 am by someone moving around and a dog barking! Unfortunately I would not stay again.

Location was convenient to work and the host accommodated me when I had to work from home.

Nice big tv, comfortable bed.

I couldn’t lock the bedroom door. No lock on the toilet or shared bathroom.
