When we arrived, we discovered that the apartment only had a sofa bed instead of a proper bed. This was not clearly stated anywhere on the Booking.com listing. The property uses photos of multiple apartments in the building, which is misleading because the room we received was very different from what we expected. When I contacted them, they insisted the sofa bed was listed, but it absolutely was not obvious at the time of booking. The sofa bed itself was awful — extremely uncomfortable and very unstable. One of the legs was completely bent, and we had to put cushions underneath just to stop it collapsing. We asked to be moved to an apartment with a real bed, but they refused. They offered a refund instead, but that was unrealistic considering we had booked months in advance and it was already 7pm. Finding another place at a similar price at that time was impossible. The blackout curtains also do not properly cover the windows because they are shorter than the actual window frame, so the room gets very bright early in the morning. To make things worse, the internet was down for around 12 hours. Instead of fixing it, they simply told us to connect to the Wi-Fi from Apartment 11 even though we were staying in Apartment 10. We also found a first aid kit containing items that had expired in 2024, which did not inspire confidence about the general maintenance and safety standards of the place. Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing and stressful. I would strongly recommend avoiding this property.
