Old School Cottage

Pathway from gate to door uneven needs attention bad for people with mobility issues.

great location parking was bit worrie but realised was ok 8am 2 6pm permit or 2hrs but moved just befour 10 2 road accross in morning loads space come back after 4pm didnt have to worrie cost nothing everything else lovely great stay

Good location, lots of room in the property and all the facilities that we needed for a short stay

Bed was a little uncomfy - but that's down to personal preference and, although there was on street/car park parking nearby it was a bit of a faff having to organise where to park, how long for, remembering to pay etc

Lovely character with good facilities and a nice place to stop for a weekend

Downstairs bathroom was dated. Some rooms closed off . No side gate access or parking.

Our stay at Old School Cottage was truly magical! The location is unbeatable—just a four-minute walk to the expansive beaches of Sandgate and Hythe, a stone's throw from the castle, and a leisurely ten-minute stroll into the charming town of Sandgate. There, you'll find an array of delightful cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops. We found the cottage itself to be very clean and met all our needs, with very comfortable beds and a charming roll-top bath in our bedroom and, for the price, would couldn't have asked for better. While there is no on-site parking, the nearby beach offers very affordable public parking, making it extremely convenient. We highly recommend Old School Cottage as the perfect base for exploring the local area. 

Nothing it was awful.

Bed in Master Bedroom has no supports at the head so anyone trying to lie at the upper part results in the bed reclining backwards. The Brown cover in the 2nd bedroom is covered with dog hair. Main furniture also covered with dog hair, Downstairs toilet is antiquated and did not work for the complete stay. The age and condition of this really necessitates replacement. When we contacted the agent regarding issue with the toilet all she responded with was "upstairs or downstairs" and we didn't hear back again. Glasses cutlery and plates in a very dirty condition. This certainly was unacceptable for the price paid. We would not recommend this property at any price.
