Our Happy Place Scarborough

Tasteful, modern and homely - looked recently renovated and decorated. Bigger than looks on photos. One king-size bed with dvd player in room. Sofa bed accommodated one adult and 2 yr old child. Put u up bed accommodated 6 yr old and was reasonable size. So 5 of us in a one bed apartment. Kitchen well kitted out - included coffee machine, washing machine, tall fridge freezer, clothes horse, hoover fan, etc etc. Welcome basket - wine - nachos, dip, cookies was appreciated. Brochures of nearby places to visit and attractions.Disc for free parking in 3hr zones. 40 mins parking on street outside apartment ( no return for 20 mins) but free after 6pm until 8.40am. Spitting distance from beach , shops amusements and open air buses ( every 15 mins).Kids loved the apartment as did we. Would definitely want to book again. Owner kindly posted stuff left behind. Very appropriately named apartment.

It's not a dislike but if staying longer than a few days bear in mind that sofabed understandably takes up a lot of sitting room area with tv when in use . Again not a complaint more a heads up - the camera in the small hallway between sitting room and kitchen didn't bother us as door of sitting room can be closed- if you remember. Need to close the door when small children having nappy change or wandering around naked.Owners just protecting their property and apparently not watching it during the stay. Re some reviews - none of us heard seagulls or folk in other apartments just the occasional sound of loud people passing and a karaoke on the Sat only. Not loud enough to wake the kids.

We had an amazing stay at Our Happy Place. The apartment was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We felt right at home and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a cosy and clean place to stay. Thank you so much :)

Location is great and the host was very responsive

The single glazing in the property made it rather noisy. Appreciate it's an old building and likely not a lot that can be done about it but it did hinder sleep as you can hear everything that's going on outside, bin men, other holidaymakers, seagulls etc.

The location and the cleanliness

Really nice apartment, brilliant location. Kids loved the apartment too. Clean, little bits and bobs left for you to use, washing up liquid, tea bags, sugar, milk, etc. Owners give great communication.

Nothing wrong with the appartment just very noisy seagulls in the morning.

Apartment was in the perfect location, could not ask for better.

The location was great just by the beach & a 5 minute walk into the town where all the shops are.

Beds were very uncomfortable 😐 mattresses were quite flat on the sofa bed & single bed. A lit of loud noise at night off people coming out the pubs & seagulls sworking.

Just perfect, size, cleanliness, location etc etc etc!! Better than excellent!! Even a welcome basket of goodies. The milk , the biscuits, the wine extremely welcoming. Lovely little place and so handy for the beach. Really really pleased!

Absolutely nothing that the hosts can do about it but the old windows are very noisy. Because of the location there is a lot of noise from party goers and twice we had the doorbell rang at night time. Traffic noise from boy racers revving their engine and drunk people shouting woke my little boy up every night and meant we couldn't hear the TV or each other talking. Maybe curtains would help dampen the noise? Really wasn't keen on the ring camera inside the property although I understand the hosts reasons, just made us uncomfortable so we sat with the door closed whilst we were inside
