The bed was extremely uncomfortable, its two single beds pushed together and are different heights. There was no hot water and the barely any water pressure.

This person refused to issue a tax invoice even though it is their duty to generate it. They are charging IVA (Mexican tax) and as such, it is a fiscal obligation on their side to issue a factura. They flat out refused. as I said in our private communication, I am reporting this person because they are breaking the law. Not only that, but they are oblivious of the laws of the country they have chosen to live in. Enough with rich foreigners coming to Mexico and believing they can do whatever they want and not abide by the rules we all do. It is infuriating and downright offensive and insulting to come to Mexico and choose not to follow the same lineaments we, as Mexicans, are bind to. You can't do whatever you want because you're white and rich.
SIThe apartment had no running water when we arrived. The owner had left a 1 litre water bottle and a bucket to cover our 3 night stay as he saud he was unable to get water delivered to the apartment. As there was no water the cleaner hadn't been able to clean it either. The owner refused to refund us. We moved to another apartment next door which did have water. It is possible to get water in Oaxaca City but you have to pay 500 pesos for a private company to deliver it. Stay away

CAClose to the Zocalo. The neighbourhood felt safe, walkable, and with many restaurants, groceries, and laundry close by. There's a full sized fridge, microwave, kettle, and the host provided drinking water.
There are small windows at the front of the apartment which didn't provide much light or ventilation. The bathroom has no window and no ventilation at all. There was half a roll of toilet paper for us to use for our 4 night stay - we could have used more. It is listed as a queen size bed, but it is actually two twin beds pushed together that kept sliding apart during the night. The microwave and kettle were useful but there was no cutlery, dishes, and only one cup, which we had to wash in the bathroom sink. The bathroom was not particularly clean when we arrived, but we think that may be due to the extreme water shortage in the city. We did not find the place particularly comfortable.
IEGood location, affordable, big bed.
The shower is awful, so weak and cold, 3 tiny drips of water with so little power it was difficult to shower. Place is old with rusty towel hang rack. Really dark with no natural light at any time of day. Tiny slit windows at the top of the room. No extras such as water.
GBThis is a small simple apartment close to the centre . It was not expensive and perfect for my needs . I would stay again as it’s so central and self contained.
USThe location was excellent, within easy walking distance of everything. Very clean and comfortable.
I was only left with one roll of toilet paper for a one week stay.
