Central Asia Hotel

The terrace is a nice spot to cool down after a hot day, but very basically equipped.

While all in all our stay at Central Asia Hotel was OK, we had some issues regarding our booking. Of the two rooms I booked for the same price, one was almost up to the standards of what the photos in our booking indicated; the other room was very far from it. We complained with the hotel manager/owner and eventually decided to pay extra for an “upgrade” to another room that was still not up to the standards of our booking’s photos. This is clearly a case of dishonest marketing with the product not corresponding to what was booked and photos not reflecting the reality of the rooms we were given. Moreover, a month after our stay, our booking was “modified” in the system and the total price appearing in Booking.com was reduced by over 80%, while I paid the full price plus “upgrade”. I have asked Booking.com to look into this; a month later, no explanation was yet provided while the price appearing in our booking has remained a fraction of what we actually paid.

We went to three places in Uzbekistan: Tashken, Samarkad and Bukhara. This this was the best hotel/guest house we stayed in. For the price that we paid it was more than we could ask for: clean, fresh, big rooms with high ceiling. It is located a few minutes away from the old city and everyday we took a very nice and authentic walk in local streetls which we enjoyed very much. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a terrace on the top floor with three spacious patios and a great view of the old city!

Disaster

Everything is so bad. Working with drills from early morning The vacation is supposed to be relaxing. No good toiletries or breakfast. The owner is not friendly.

Ok,10 - 15 min walk to major attractions

Location was inside a small narrow lane,. Room was smaller than shown in picture. Everything was to be asked - Towels, water. Toiletries were not provided. Breakfast was limited options

The room was spacious and clean, furnished with air conditioning and courtesy set. The family is absolutely welcoming. Amazing breakfast and nice location
