The Bothy

The property was set in an ideal location for us. It was very central and we were able to discover many parts of Scotland without taking too much time of effort

The bed was a little soft for us as it was a memory foam mattress and we are partial to a firmer bed. The heating was either on or off, was a little difficult to adjust

Such a Lovely little get away, it felt exactly like home. I was travelling for a funeral and to have somewhere soo lovely to stay in made the trip 10x better. The house is warm and quiet and we arrived on the day of the storm and couldn’t hear anything once inside. It was just perfect for us and especially the dog ! 😆

Nothing - we don’t drive so maybe a bit far but a short walk and you’ll get to a bus stop

Beautiful location

A lovely place to stay with wildlife on your doorstep. Beautiful surroundings with friendly owners. The bothy was warm, spacious and comfortable. Secure area for the dogs and everything you need for time away

John was top as was the whole set up....we felt as if the farm was ours for the days we were there! Easy access to everywhere we needed to go and easy going host! As modern as you would want a farm cottage without missing any of the modern amenities...actually the chatting with the horses topped it off for us....beautiful creatures!

I find this question a problem with modern society...it reached and exceeded our needs and expectations so why have a question asking me to be negative??? I could pick holes out of everything but what is the point in that?

The Bothy was selfcatering! Nice little patio garden to sit outside in, Met a lovely chap on arrival (didn't catch his name) & his cute little dog Poppy I think?? Having a dishwasher & washing machine was a fab bonus,

A bit chilly in the evenings, couldn't put the heating on, we did use a little electric heater that was in the bedroom that we moved to the sitting room, it took the chill off the room a little, We felt that the fridge & cutlery drawer should of been in the kitchen area & the breakfast bar/Island should of been in the sitting room area, was annoying someone sitting in the kitchen when you're cooking, We couldn't find somewhere to put our rubbish when we left so left it in the bins & one bag on top of bins under the sink, Not a complete deal breaker we still had lovely stay, No visitor's book to sign or information/history of The Bothy & surrounding area!

Central location but very quiet and peaceful. Cottage very comfortable with good facilities.
