- The hotel provides a free shuttle to/from Ooboke Station upon prior reservation. It operates once a day, leaving the hotel at 09:50 and the station at 15:10 - Please request the shuttle at the time of booking or contact the property directly at least 1 day prior to arrival. - Please note that the shuttle is not available without reservation. Extra guests exceeding the room occupancy will not be accommodated under any circumstance. Guests with children must inform the property at time of booking. Please specify how many children will be staying and their respective ages in the special request box. Please also inform the property in advance if children require meals. Children 3 years and under can be accommodated in an existing bed free of charge. Please contact the property directly for more details. Please note that the view bath is closed from 10:00 until 11:30 daily, and is closed from 10:00 until 15:00 on Wednesday.Guests must check in by 19:00 to eat dinner at this property. Guests checking in after this time may not be served dinner, and no refund will be given. "One of the most beautiful stays I've had yet."

Staff was outstanding. Location was incredible.

I felt like my expectations regarding the temperature of the river side onsen were not met, but that's probably a problem with me.

"Lovely unique stay in iya valley with beautiful outdoor bath"

Iya onsen is in a remote , beautiful location in the Iya gorge. the service is impeccable , and the facilities are very clean. the highlights are the quality if the water and view of the outdoor bath, the amazing degustation breakfast and dinner ( 9 courses) and the beautiful yakuta etc. they pick you up at the station and take you to the hotel , the journey itself is a treat

stairs ! the property has no lift. we were on the 6 th floor and the bath on the 2nd floor. the decor us old japanese , which is charming, but can use a little updating.

"A Once In A Lifetime Onsen Experience!"

The facilities were excellent and the staff were more than excellent.

"Poor value for the money"

The public bath (cable car to go down there) was nice and relaxing.

Very poor value for the money. The accommodation is not comfortable (futons), service is ok but not at the level of asked price, the en suite "onsen" is ridiculously small. The mini fridge is empty which again at this price level is an absolute shame. All in all priced at about 3 times the real value... I won't come back.

Fun experience riding a cable car down to a natural open air onsen, indoor bath also very good.

Both dinner and breakfast is under par for both food selections and taste.
