"Perfect!"

10.0

What a find! A lovely space inside and out with great views of the surrounding fields and hills. It was well equipped, super clean and comfortable. There were walks right on the doorstep and a great pub just round the corner. The hosts couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. We had the best time 😁

Nothing at all.

"Great location and host."

10.0

Quite a few great things to write about this place so I'll keep it as short as possible. It is a very cosy, unique property that is incredibly quiet. The view from the property was really nice if you don't experience much greenery in the views at home. There was also some nice seating outside it was just nice to relax in. It is very secluded but equally not far away from people. Nice place to just get away from it but not feel 100% disconnected from the real world. Pretty cosy and for us it was great as we were only there for three days and managed to do the entirety of Dorset because of the location. Wouldn't have been able to do that had we not stayed here I think. Think this would be a great place to stay in the colder months too as its so cosy. Facilities wise, it is a small but not an overly small property that has everything you would need. I think a lot of thought and attention has been put into making it all work, and its a fantastic use of space. Really surprised with it all and loved the presentation of it all. In terms of what you can do from this place... Or what we did. It is perfectly positioned for exploring the coast. As it is between Swanage and Lyme Regis. Its also a place that you can walk from to a bus to Weymouth and you can get the bus basically anywhere in Dorset. So if you are driving or bussing, its a decent place. You've also got all the things in Weymouth like Sea Life, the Sand world, and some great fish and chips in Weymouth. If you decide to go Swanage its a pretty quick drive, and on the other hand if you decide to go down to Lyme Regis its a quick drive. I've stayed in other places that have been so far disconnected from local transport networks it is hard to get around but this place was just great. Anyhow, the host is lovely and clearly puts in the effort to make sure your stay is as nice as possible. I would love to stay here again in the future if I'm in the area for a quick unwind.

"Love views and hosts, just a few inconveniences that meant we wouldn’t return."

6.0

The hosts we very friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook dinners and the location in Weymouth meant that different beaches were easy to get to travelling by car.

The photos of the property are a bit deceiving - they made it seem like it’s at the bottom of the property’s garden when in fact it is only a few meters from the house! This made it feel slightly awkward as the property has big by fold doors which over look the cabin. The hosts came into the cabin to introduce them selves on the first night - this was slightly awkward as we were not expecting this (being late at night we were in our pjs) and made us feel a little on edge for the rest of the stay. If you are looking for a location with some privacy this is definitely not for you! We also had problems with the shower, we had no hot water the first night and this continued to be temperamental for the rest of our stay. The shower handle has also shattered, making it very sharp which caused us both to cut open our hands! This should be replaced for safety reasons. The bed is also incredibly small for two people - smaller than a small double bed. We had to split us and use the bed and sofa bed to sleep comfortably! Not recommend for tall people!

"Cosy overnight stay in a wood cabin."

8.0

Nice clean, cosy cabin with good equipment. Patio laid out with chairs, blankets, fire pit and barbecue facilities.

V narrow double bed that was against the wall. Difficult for the person sleeping on the wall side to get out of bed to use the bathroom in the night without waking partner. Having said that, the mattress and pillows were comfortable and they were making best use of the space. No instructions on how to use WiFi or television , meaning we couldn't get tv to work. No idea what to do with rubbish and re-cycling at end of stay. No obvious bins outside. Suggest a plate rack on shelf, so that they don't fall over/ slide off when moving other crockery.
