Enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Comfortable and cosy would highly recommend

Me and my partner stayed for two nights as a small getaway. The viewers from the cabin were amazing and it was a very cosy, chill and quiet place to stay.

The water heater stopped working one evening however the issue was solved in less than 5 minutes after contacting the owner

Really lovely location. The cabin was cosy, facilities worked and were nice. The hosts left a personalised welcome card, and were available if anything was needed. The view out of the doors in the morning was beautiful countryside. The hosts also met our special requests.

No real complaints. For the money, it was above and beyond. We also don't mind that it's on the host property and this is well advertised. Parking is a tad tight but perfectly manageable.

We arrived late on the evening on the first night. Seemed okay upon arrival with not much inspection. However, after an asthma flare up, We had a proper look round the cabin on the morning to discover black mould throughout the cabin. The worst as pictured on the wooden sink completely riddled with mould top to bottom. All of the beige fabric blinds as pictured were blatantly infested with it too on the backs. Next, the kitchen sink. We opened it to find an overflowing bowl of water from a leak from the tap. The host claimed her cleaners placed the bowl there…so she was aware of the leak and didn’t address it. The shower was awful, we turned the handle and it came off the shower unit!! Not only this, the water pressure was awful and took ages to get any warm water. Toilet seat was broken and there was multiple rips (under two very strategically placed blankets) on the sofa bed - see pictures attached. It was run down and not habitable, may I add it also located in the hosts back garden facing a public field. We ended up raising a complaint with booking.com directly and they were brilliant. After 5 calls with them as the host was unresponsive for the first few contact attempts, she agreed a refund on the basis of no review. If it wasn’t for the fact she told us she had guests staying the day after us, which confirmed she had no intention of addressing the issues and happily will rent out a mould ridden cabin to unknowing guests again. I would have not written this. But I think it’s very misleading to have good reviews on the basis of blackmailing the unhappy guests into not reviewing so they can have their refund?? It’s not honest nor transparent and she clearly does not care about her guests as black mould can cause serious health issues!!

Wonderful location and everything you need for a lovely break

The heating and a light was on and the cabin was warm and cosy. Some welcome milk in the fridge and a stock of teabags and coffee. A lovely start to my short stay !

Lovely village location with excellent local pub and walks straight from the cabin. Facilities in the cabin were excellent and it was much more spacious than we thought it would be. Lots of room for us and our 2 small dogs. Really lovely stay.

Would have liked a bigger bed. I think it was a small double. Parking was a bit tight for our suv, but the owner did offer to move their car. Wasn't an issue for us. Would be better to have the bbq on the decking area. As it's winter i slipped and fell on the sloped area. Not the owners fault but could definitely be avoided in winter.

Beautiful cabin with very peaceful surroundings. Everything was clean and felt comfortable. Lovely, clean bathroom and comfortable bed. We really enjoyed . Highly recommend.
