Convenient, old but clean and comfortable. An excellent bargain for a short stay.

Hot water for shower disconnected and water is very cold. No hot water available to make morning tea.

Centrally located, with spacious, comfortable rooms, though without AC. Friendly and uncomplicated staff. A cheaper alternative if overnighting in Kandy. Nice cafe on the ground floor, selling excellent coffee and breakfast. Not cheap, but tasty.

Most rooms face the street, which is a shrieking canyon of buses and cars. Bring earplugs, or try for a room at the back. The decor is a little worn, and the place could do with a refresh.
