Inigtan Lio Bamboo Cottages

This place was such a gorgeous little gem in the jungle. This is a family run business and everyone was so lively and helpful. The breakfast was delivered to our room each morning, it was such a nice start to the day. There is free scooter for use so we were able to go some nice beaches around the town. The rooms were very cute and very comfortable bed.

I recommend packing very light, there’s a lot of stairs to take luggage up. We were lucky the staff help us.

Nothing - I will say though that if you want to partake in activities like tours or nights out then it might not be ideal for you as it is quite far out as it’s meant to be a quiet stay away from all the noise!

The host was very friendly and hospitable. The cottage was a great experience to connect with nature. It is really clean and beautiful. The insects in the room were very few, it has good protection with nets and I have had much "wilder" experiences in normal hotelrooms in the Philippines. However, the noise of the animals at night should not be underestimated, especially if someone is sensitive to noise. The food is really good there, fresh ingredients and great cooking. We also used the free scooter rental and drop-off service, all worked great.

Unique, family run bamboo bungalow on owners property. Staff did not speak much English but went above and beyond to ensure we were good at all times. Cook good breakfast and serve it at your bungalow. Welcome dinner on first night from their own farm produce. Service was excellent and love to stay somewhere personable where it is evident how much they care for their guests experience. Scooter provided as complimentary. Close to Lio beach and 15min to Main town El Nido.

Occasional power outages are noted on the listing but over 4 night stay we only experienced it on one day. This did not bother us as we went out but something to note if you are counting down on having AC or internet at all times.

I must say that it is truly a unique place for those who want to stay very close to the pure nature of the jungle. There are a lot of birds, squirrels, and lizards, but keep in mind that some of them can easily get inside your room. However, we expected this, and it was not a problem for us. The mosquito net above the bed helps a lot, allowing for a good sleep without insects.

We stayed for two nights, but on both days, there were times with no electricity (which means no internet, AC, or fan). Additionally, we didn't have hot water at all. Also, the room seems more spacious at the pictures. Actually, it is quite tiny.

The location in the jungle was really cool! The complimentary dinner was delicious and we even got a small fireplace set up next to us :) our host was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good as well. However, if you cant stand having animals in your room such as ants or even a gecko, this is NOT your accomodation! If you are fine with that, its an incredible experience :)
