Very cute house done up with details ! It was a lovely experience to stay in a typical old Islandic house surrounded only by a few other equally old houses , close to the sea .

An amazing property located in Gardur on the Reyksjanes peninsula. We booked this place to be somewhere a bit quieter but still not too far from Reykjavik, and it fit the brief perfectly. Only around 10-15 mins drive from Keflavík airport and 1 hour from Reykjavik. Do keep in mind that there’s not really any reasonable public transportation links to the city, so you’d really want to have a car. The area is really beautiful and super peaceful. It’s just a stone’s throw from a lovely path along the shoreline of Flaxaflói bay. There aren’t really amenities in town, but there are plenty in Reyksjanesbær / Keflavík, about 15 mins drive away, as well as a couple of really great restaurants a few minutes away at the lighthouse. The house was clean, modern and very comfortable. Especially loved the shower and bath - having bath salts was a really nice touch! We didn’t personally meet Lukasz, but he was super friendly and responsive and kept us thoroughly informed. We arrived really early in the morning and without much sleep, and because the house was already available, he got it ready for us overnight so we could check-in right away. Absolutely A+ gesture. A really unforgettable stay that I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend.

As a rather tall and clumsy guy, the bedroom I chose ended up being a bit of a hazard - I banged my head on the shelf and stubbed my toe on the bed frame more than I’d like to admit. The master bedroom is super spacious though, and even sleeping in the third bedroom would’ve solved the issue (I was too proud to change bedrooms though, so it’s my own fault 🥲)
