Custom House Hotel

Lovely location and decoration. A little holiday on the way to longer one.

The interior was exceptionally nice: clean, well-decorated, cozy. The bath TUB! A very nice bathroom. Nice communal room where one can sit, look at the view , and help oneself to toast & coffee in the morning. It took me a bit to realize there was a refrigerator also for jam & butter.

Arrival access was a bit confusing. Maybe because I didn’t read everything prior to arrival; but my phone had limited access all day. When we arrived later in the evening we didn’t at first see the narrow drive leading into the marina area. When we did, there was another car exiting, so we had to back out. Then we approached a closed gate and had to figure out how to contact the hotel for access. Then we had to figure out that what looked like a sidewalk was the entry drive. Then we saw the building and were afraid it was a mistake. Then my elder companion had to navigate the steps into the building and to the room. But we were happy once inside our room.

Very good value, lovely room, shared kitchen, breads and hot drinks. Good position en route north.

Voor 8 uur moet je ontbijt zelf maken, maar brood en thee waren er.

Loved everything about our stay. The kitchen and breakfast bits were a lovely extra touch.

Parking - signs to show where we should park There was lots of space but no designated area.

The room decor was beautiful and the location was lovely with secure parking! We loved the communal kitchen and the bed was very comfy.

The listing said that dogs were free and each room had a dog bed, the day before I was sent a link to pay for a dog? And there was no dog bed? Felt a bit smoke and mirrors. Also the door was a little short which meant that noise carried really easily! The room was fine for a one night stay but perhaps a bit small for any longer!

Great location. Great decor and week presented. Nice homely touches as well as being stylish. Good kitchen facilities.

Coffee machine didn’t work but housekeeping offered to make one in a vacant room for us.
