"A exceptionally well-run and equipped B&B in an ideal location in the centre of Enkhuizen"

A very attractive B&B in the old town of Enkhuizen, just off the central streets with a good selection of shops and restaurants, but on a quiet canal, a few minutes walk from the harbour. It felt like home. The decor and facilities, including coffee and tea-making facilities, crockery, and dinner table, were exceptional and really well thought out by the owner. Since it was the weekend and arrangement had been made for us to have breakfast in a nearby hotel, which worked out very well - a good buffet selection. If only all B&Bs were like this.

"Bad"

Booked this hotel at 1pm on Easter Sunday to arrive same day. We (67 year old mother, kids aged 2 & 4 and myself) turned up at 5pm. It was starting to rain as we arrived. When we knocked on the door, a lady answered and said she was sorry but 'something happened' and they didn't have room for us. She said she sent me a message on booking.com and tried to call me (I had no missed calls and I was traveling with 2 small kids, not checking my booking.com msgs). She said she couldn't recommend anywhere else and then she closed the door. Shocking 'hospitality', shocking way to treat 'guests' and shocking attitude.
