Villa Zamaya Sanur

Excellent location close to main street and beach. Authentic decor and feel in this magical villa. From the moment you walk through the large wood doors, past the koi pond and into the villa you are transported to a magical villa in Sanur. Huge rooms, air con could have been colder but was ok. Gorgeous pool and surrounds. Bathrooms were so pretty. Loved our stay here! The host and security guard were so lovely!!

Air conditioner needs updating in bedrooms. Yoga room was a bit weird - maybe it could be used for a different purpose! Some areas needed a clean, but it was all good, e.g fans etc. There was a weird hole in the floors of the bedroom that had a small mat over the top which was strange - maybe that could be fixed. But that is being super picky. It is hard to find fault my family and I loved our stay her and would return!

The location was a hop skip and jump to the main road of Sanur. Around a 10 minute walk to the beach front. Felt very secure behind a high fence with 24 hour security out the front. Didn't feel like we were in a prison, beautiful inside the gated fence. Own little oasis. Each villa was amazing with a bed that could sleep 4 (lol). Beautiful indoor and outdoor showers. Very spacious. The living area was large with a complete kitchen. The pool was clean and we did have the flamingo (lol) he came for a visit. Highly recommend this Villa. Staff were polite and Arta tried really hard to understand English. At the end of our trip we had the communicate down pact. Absolutely recommend anyone to have Donny as their driver throughout their stay. He was funny, informative, never late and organised wonderful magical mystery tours.

Where to start ! Unfortunately the villa was not clean . Kitchen was dirty , PowerPoints dirty , spider webs everywhere, dust on the floors , all the shelves and wooden blinds . This needs a big spring clean . Floors all stained but could overlook that . Air conditioning in main room malfunctioning and not cooling . Brought to attention of manager and attempted fixing 4 days in a row . Huge disruption to our stay with all the workman …. Still not working after all the attempts. Main bathroom drinking cups filthy and not washed from previous people also sweltering hot and can do with some blinds . The Villa completely lost power for a night and we were up until 2am with Villa manager trying to fix and restore . We ended up having to move from here due to all the problems . We did receive a portion refund but believe this wasn’t enough as we had to find other accommodation. Unfortunately has huge potential but a lot of things letting it down .

The layout of the property is great for a family with teenage children, it provides everyone with their space without feeling separated. The Villa is close to restaurants, bars, shops etc but when you are within the compound of the Villa you wouldn’t know you were in the town as it was so peaceful. Arta who was the in villa host was great, very friendly and we managed to communicate, even with his lack of English and our lack of Balinese. He was very good at being there but not overbearing. The only bonus I would say around having Arta would be some guidance around his role being added to the Booking.com site as we weren’t sure what his remit was. The host put us in contact with Donny Driver who was an absolute gem and really helped to make our holiday, he was a million times more than just our taxi transfer from the airport. He arranged numerous excursions for us and at great value for the quality of them, we got to the stage where we just left it to Donny to arrange as we trusted his judgement. I would 100% recommend contacting him prior or during your holiday via Facebook (Donny Driver - User name) to assist with any transfers, excursions or just taxi services, if he doesn’t have capacity he will assist with recommendations etc.

There were several things that were damaged and not working, for example the jacuzzi part of the pool, numerous lights and one of the day beds upstairs had rotten through. None of this impacted the quality of our stay, but it would have been nice to have been told prior to arrival that the jacuzzi part of the pool was out of order.

It was such a beautiful place and the staff were wonderful. Especially Arta. Just stunning to look at. So fancy yet comfortable close to everything. We asked for a late check out and they were happy to give us that. Communication was fantastic

It is very small complaint. The pool felt a little dirty and slimy. I think maybe the filter needs to run for longer during the day but still ok for swimming
