Old Smithy Cottage

We absolutely loved this cottage, it was so nice and perfect for a weekend away. We are a family of 6 adults and found it a perfect get away.

The only downside, if you can even call it that was there’s only one bathroom but we knew that when we booked it. It just meant we had to be considerate , not a big deal at all.

Great location with good parking, loved the interior of the house, rooms were large, loads of lovely little touches.

That we only stayed one night!

Presentation was beautiful. Little extras, cakes, coffee pods, milk in fridge, flowers & milk in the fridge ( even treats for the dog ). The log burner was lovely.

Nothing to dislike.

everything you see in the description is as this place is. I would be back there in a shot. It is clean, comfortable well equipped and everything you could need

the garden furniture, wee hit thing could do with a wash, but not that bad , Tv was a bit slow in connecting a wee update is needed (bigger perhaps ) but that's just me and what I am used to

The cottage is easily located in a lovely area, we were attending my sons wedding but needed a place we could bring our two dogs that was near to the venue (The River Barn) the cottage was 7 mins by car which meant we could pop back throughout the day. The garden is fully secured and there is a lovely open sun house at the back.

Nothing everything was perfect.

The property is very well furnished. Home from home. Cosy and comfortable. All the rooms are very pleasant. Loved the garden facilities too 😃

The only negative is the busy road. Earplug’s definitely required for light sleepers who are using the front 2 bedrooms 😢

Such a beautiful, rustic property which is well maintained. Added perks were little things like milk, coffee pods, small cakes and a unique note from the host. There is even a pub within walking distance! The host cannot be faulted, kept me updated throughout and answered all my queries.

It’s not that I didn’t like anything but if I was to be a critic, having 1 bathroom between 6 of us was a little tricky at times.
