Apu Lodge

The lodge was an amazing place especially because of the staff. All of them were very kind, informative, and helpful. The garden was a plus! The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and good pressure. They let us have a late check out. The location was perfect!!!

Wear tennis shoes (or alike) to walk around town. Be aware of insects - the lodge is surrounded by nature (a beautiful nature). Stay 2 nights In Ollantaytambo to enjoy fully.

Beautiful lodge with Inca ruins right behind the lodge. The place is tranquil and spiritual. Staff is very friendly and give a lot of information. Breakfast is excellent.

The road leads to the lodge is not easy to walk or take luggage. They do have helpers to pick you up at the central plaza.

The views were amazing. Perfect location close to the restaurants and for exploring the local town. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful in arranging the taxi to visit the other sites in the Sacred Valley. I wish we had spent longer here!

The staff was absolutely amazing! We had an early departure for the Inca trail and they had breakfast ready especially for us at 4AM. They also arranged for someone to help bring our luggage down to the square. The bed was comfortable and the location was great!! The grounds were pretty and nice views of the ruins from our room. We would definitely stay here again!!

Great location, large rooms, friendly staff, nice and hot showers

This was the perfect base to acclimatise and visit Machu Picchu. The staff were friendly, helpful and offered advice on transfers/ provided early breakfast. The gardens are the real draw - we were able to sit on the balcony and watch the local wildlife, including hummingbirds. There’s plenty to do locally - the Ollantaytambo fortress is 70 soles each and is well worth a visit. The ticket also gives you entry to other Sacred Valley sites, although we opted to watch the football instead… For lunch, we’d recommend Sunshine Café and for dinner, Amanto and Chuncho were both great!

The location is stunning, up a cobbled street towards the top end of town. However, this means that vehicular access is not possible. This was challenging as I have a back injury, although the staff have a trolley and were extremely helpful in transporting our luggage for us.
