GBGBLocation was stunning, facilities were great, peaceful retreat, we love the ocean so this was perfect for paddling, swimming, snorkeling and diving.
Reception staff could have been a bit more warming and smile! Maybe a few more beach beds as you had to be up early to get one!

Personnel exceptionnel, très accueillant et professionnel. Hôtel très propre mais assez vieillissant et peu entretenu. Nourriture très bonne. Dommage pour les serviettes de plage qui ne semblaient pas correctement lavées (seulement séchées et repliées).

PLThe location is beautiful – a small private island with a nice house reef (this was one of our main selection criteria), so you can snorkel directly along the beach for many hours. The water temperature of around 30°C makes it even more attractive. We were picked up from the airport by bus and then taken to the island by a private boat. The trip was an attraction itself :) The staff are absolutely amazing. They greet you many times a day, from the reception staff to the gardeners, and everyone is very polite. The reaction time to any problems or requests is remarkable – usually within minutes. You can really experience nature at this resort, starting with the sounds of bats at night, and even komodo dragons walking around the island, which are quite an attraction. There are also pelicans hunting for the food in the restaurant literally eating from your hand, There are lots of natural sounds and many birds. You have plenty of privacy everywhere, and there are no problems finding sunbeds or space on the beach. The island is large enough for nice walks along the beach on the beautiful white sand, it is worthwhile taking a picture with the arriving catamarans especially at the sunset. Majority of rooms are a bit older so do not expect luxury there, but everything is functional. We were glad to stay in the pavilions. The beach bungalows have a great location, but they are also quite old, so in our opinion they are not worth the high price. However there is ongoing construction so there will be new luxury accommodations on the opposite site of the island. The restaurants are rather overpriced compared to the mainland, but the food quality is good and the staff are excellent. There is no evening entertainment. When travelling through Philippines I recommend visiting a resort like this first, this will offset some disappointments that you encounter when travelling inland later.
You only get one key card, but it seems to be standard in the Philippines. The path leading to the viewpoint (about a 10-minute walk) is very dirty, unlike the rest of the resort. It should either be closed or properly cleaned. There also isn’t really much to see from there. We preferred swimming from the beach and enjoying the view of the bays from the water
FRL'île de l'hôtel est paradisiaque. La plage splendide, l'eau turquoise et délicieuse, les poissons multicolores, la vie animal impressionnante, les énormes lézards et chauve-souris géantes (ça gêne certains clients, moi j'ai adoré). C'est moins ennuyeux qu'aux Maldives où à part la vie sous l'eau, les îles sont sans intérêt. Cet hôtel, assez cher tout de même, est le meilleur compromis entre des endroits pas terribles et trop touristiques en bord de plage et des hotels hors de prix. Et il n'y en a pas tant que ça aux Philippines! On passe vite d'un extrême l'autre. J'étais dans une bâtiment donnant sur la mer au dernier étage et la chambre avec balcon/terrasse était parfaite. Les bungalows sur la plages avait l'air très beaux, mais beaucoup plus cher pour un séjour assez long, et il faut aimer être sur sa terrasse et voir quelques personnes passer devant sur la plage. Personnellement je préfère l'intimité. L'hôtel est très bien entretenu. Un très beau buffet de petit déjeuner. L'hôtel, qui dans les commentaires se dégradait, a été repris par un groupe et les choses se sont améliorés. Les restaurants sont très bons, surtout celui de spécialités Philippines. On ne sent pas du tout le monde qu'il peut y avoir, la tranquillité sur la plage est un vrai privilège. Et pour les enfants et ceux qui veulent se baigner en piscine non loin de bars et de la musique, il y a deux bassins. Cet hôtel est idéal pour être en contact avec ce qu'il y a de plus beau aux Philippines, les îles et la nature.
Le groupe qui a repris semble vouloir agrandir l'hotel. A l'origine il n'y avait que les bungalows sur la plage (j'ai discuté avec un habitué qui y séjournait pour la troisième fois), puis un bâtiment sur la mer, et un sur le jardin ont été construits... et ce n'est pas fini! Deux ou trois autres bâtiments sont en construction. Ca ne fait pas de bruit, mais le chantier gâche un peu l'atmosphère de nature. Et ça pose la question du monde supplémentaire sur l'île et dans l'hotel, qui pour l'instant est en équilibre entre pas trop de monde et un bon service.
