"Very nice stay!"

9.0

Very central camping lodge and very nice equipped tents. I liked the whole equipment and bed etc. the surrounding is beautiful and there were zebras , antilopes etc. all over the place directly in front of the tents. A real safari experience and the food was really good !

As everything in Tansania it is quite expensive. A lunch package for the day is 17$ per person, same for the dinner etc. on top you pay taxes and additional fees for credit card payment so rather make sure to bring cash. The lodge is lovely but I had the feeling extremely pricy !

"Beautiful glamping in the perfect setting"

10.0

The service given by Godlisten and his staff is superb. Their attention to detail, the way they remember things we've spoken about, is amazing. The glamping tents are new, spacious and have everything we needed, and they are set up so as to feel comfortable with our neighbours but not on top of each other. The property is close to the Ndutu aistrip (good for hot air ballooning) and the Ndutu Gate into Serengeti. There's plenty of game around, crossing the roads and close by for good viewing. Our evening dinner outside and around the fireplace was very special and most unexpected.

"Beautiful accommodations and lovely experience!"

9.0

We loved our stay at Africa Safari South Serengeti Ndutu Ngorongoro. The staff (every staff member who we met) were wonderful, and were a pleasure to talk to. Benson was our amazing host most of the time, but we interacted with many friendly staff. It helped that I speak Swahili so also was able to speak with others who did not speak English. The tents are beautiful and a lot of attention to detail was paid to designing curtains and mossi nets. We were provided filtered water daily. Beers and gin & tonics and other drinks were available even with lime and ice. We don’t recommend the pina coladas due to low ice factor however. While we knew it would not be prime time for wildlife here, we heard lions and hyenas were very close, and we saw some elephants, lots of gazelle, and many bird species and skulls by the lake edge and in the korongo. The food was very good, and I was even served gluten-free pancakes every day and given gluten-free bread in the evening with dinner. I was very surprised to be accommodated to that level and suggest they market to gluten-free travelers.

Two issues we encountered included wifi and a couple of issues with one of our rooms. First, the hotel advertises as having wifi, but this was not the case for us. Even though our trip was leisure, I expected to be able to keep up with work and was unable to except for WhatsApp a couple of times. This may not be an issue for everyone. There was no internet available. Even if wifi was working it only works close to the reception, it does not reach the third tent. In our second tent the shower head detached from the wall so the shower was at the edge of the shower pan, and the shower pan was unstable. Our chairs also had no cushions. The other room everything was great, no issues. One suggestion is to accommodate families of four in a single room. These tents are large enough, and one of our rooms had one king and two twins, but this only shows as a triple on Booking.com. So we paid for two rooms leaving a more expensive trip than it had to be. This has been a persistent issue for us in our Tanzanian travels. It seems families are not expected to share beds, but we do all the time. We could have saved 1/3 our costs with one room through our trip. A curtain for the toilet and shower would be nice too.
