The beds were comfortable. The furniture was nice and comfortable. The view is great. The location was close to the harbor.

It was very, very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. Bars just below the apartment played loud thumping music till after 2:00, which you could hear even with all doors closed and with earplugs on. On Saturday night at 3:45 a.m. there was a drunk person arguing and shouting expletives for about 10 minutes. I would never go back on the weekend. The check in process was a nightmare. We had paid an extra $50 for a 1:00 check-in instead of a 3:00 check-in. We had plans with friends so the timing was important. We turned in our rental car, ate lunch and arrived at 12:58. We did not receive instructions on how to get in until 1:12. Of course, we were worried there was some mix up and our visit would be messed up. They had told us DO NOT (they capitalized) contact the hotel desk so we didn't. We waited outside on the sidewalk on a hot day. When I complained the next day, they blamed booking.com, saying they had sent the message to me via booking.com at12:57. I don't think they understand that booking.com is not a texting or direct messaging service. They are their booking agent and they should have sent the code earlier. They took no responsibility. So don't plan on getting your instructions on how to get in until the last minute (or later). We also told them the tv in the living/dining/kitchen (all one room) wasn't working correctly. Nothing was done about that. The tv in the main bedroom worked great. Water in showers wasn't always hot, they said it was an old building and water system was different than the US. They left 3 bath towels for 3 of us for a five day stay and one kitchen towel.

The bed was hard really needs a upgrade.

Great location especially if you are cruising to/from Auckland. Short walk to Auckland CBD. Lovely apartment with great views of the harbour. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts; always available to answer any questions you have.
