GB1. The design of the apartment - really nice, beautiful place furnished in south European style. 2. Location - for those having a car its perfect. All places around Lake Como are easily reached from town of Civenna by car
I have a lot of mixed feelings about this place as it is very beautiful and was so much looking forward to this trip with my family however there were several moments that ruined the good impression and if it would have only been one of those than I would have let it go, but it was multiple points: 1. hidden costs of tourist tax (can be included in the booking price as I've seen it done this way million times also in Italy - I travel around 8-10 times a year) 2. discusting communication with the rental agency. we called them to ask about parking which was marked in the check in instructions but was full by the time we arrived. The lady that replied was incredibly rude to my boyfriend telling him she wouldn't ever reply us for such minor questions and that he was only allowed to call about emergencies. It was eventually local residents who pointed us to the direction of a big parking space only 1 min drive from the house. I was surprised it was not mentioned as allocated parking in the check in instructions as parking around the house only had around 5-7 spaces. 3. and the worst of all - NO HEATING. even though it is advertised as included in this apartment and I was specifically looking for a place with heating as Civenna is a highland area and it is very cold during evenings and nights even in September. if gas heating is unavailable then electric heaters should be provided, but lying about included heating and then telling us it is not working til mid of October is just horrible. Me and my mom woke up sick with fever the morning after. I had to suffer through all the stay in that place. At least they had multiple rugs stuffed in the wardrobe so we could all sit under them in the evenings and mornings. 4. rental agency has stressed several times that we need to wash our dishes and take away rubbish, they have even messaged me on what's up to remind me of that.
