KSTDC Hotel Mayura Vijayanagara Hampi

Size of the room, safety, polite and helpful staff

No intercom in the room, no tea coffee facility.

Hotel location is good, the restaurant needs better management

Good breakfast, with Davangere dosas. Simple KSTDC hotel, no facilities, many gaps in infrastructure and service, but what else to be expected from a smalltown Govt hotel? This is actually in Hospet right on NH 50, thus great for a simple transit halt. There is apparently a bigger and better KSTDC hotel in Kamalapur, 18 kms away, which is right next to the Hampi ruins. So, for Hampi, you should try the Kamalapur one.

Mentainence is poor, it could be better

Clean, neat property. Very close to tungbhadra dam view point. Excellent, helpful staff.

A/c making loud noise. Restaurant food prices are a bit high.

Spacious room in a good location

No hot water for bathing, they depend on solar for hot water in such a big property. No intercom, you have to reach reception for anything you need.
