Located in downtown walking distance within town. Comfortable clean studio. We lucked out and got street parking right outside the flat.
The weather! I'm a warm weather person. Drizzle, grey, and temperatures ranging from 45 - 55 F got old quickly. I know you don't visit Iceland for the weather but it was worse than I expected.

"The pros and cons of staying close to city center"

easy check in, nice welcoming message and gifts by the hosts, access to downtown Reykjavik, very clean, well equipped kitchen and bathroom, comfortable beds
can be hard to block the noise from outside at times, i.e. loud music coming from city center at night and passers by during the day, as the room is very close to a (somewhat busy) street. all parking lots are public and charged.
