NASRUL HOUSE HOMESTAY FOR BACKPACKERS

Amazing stay at Nasrul - the place is very comfortable and the food is great. But the stay is made by Nasrul himself, who runs a fantastic tour every day to secret caves within the karst mountains, a boat trip to Rammang Rammang village, sunset views, or to see millions of bats leaving their cave at night. Perfect place to stay.

Nasrul's family and himself are very very kind. 💚 We are very close from all activities. True homestay, i loved it and food is very good.

Nasrul’s Homestay was very comfortable, with a lovely deck, small but comfortable rooms with a fan and mosquito net and hot water showers. It is walking distance to nearby cafes and the boat dock etc. It is an additional 50k per person to eat lunch and dinner at the Homestay, which was 100% worth the money! Fantastic food and lots of it. Nasrul was an entertaining and knowledgeable host offering a few different tour types. He kindly booked the overnight bus from Maros to Toraja for us, and even came with us to the bus stop at 10.30pm and ensured the bus driver knew where to drop us. The tour was a full day adventure and very enjoyable, visiting the stone garden, the village etc.

We noticed more cafes were open on the Friday/weekend than in the week.

The Homestay has a very good location, the bed are comfortable and the bathroom has hot water. the highlight of the stay is Nasrul and his whole family. Nasrul will take you to amazing places, make you do unique experiences and this will easily become an unforgettable part of you travel. Plus his sister is an amazing chef! The whole family made our stay perfect.

10 m away from the mosque. Very very noisy. During Ramadan there is an additional praying session - besides the 5 regular ones - from 8-10 pm. And during the night, around 2 am they make a big noise in the village to wake up everybody to pray again. If you want to sleep at night you should avoid this guesthouse, especially during Ramadan.
