Comfortable bed, lovely staff, good evening meals, and we loved the house martins flying/nesting around the property

We were very disappointed with the hotel as we had thought from the information provided that it was lakeside so we would get lovely views from our room. Instead the room looked onto a car park and a fence running between the hotel and the properties between it and the lake. On top of this there were ceiling to ground windows around the bed so we had to keep the curtains drawn so car park user couldn’t see in. We were woken early by bin men and builders using the car park to unload equipment. It was such a shame as, although not lakeside, the hotel is set in beautiful countryside. The bar also does not have any views - there were 3 picnic tables around the corner you could sit at to enjoy the view, with a portaloo on the first night which disappeared on nights 2 and 3. Not what we were expecting from the hotel description/photos. The shower cubicle had no door so water leaked onto the bathroom floor and the room door failed to catch shut on a couple of occasions, on one occasion it was wide open when we returned to the room. Although there was a kettle in the room no tea or coffee was provided with it.

Brak możliwości wejścia na balkon poprzez zamocowane moskitiery na stałe.
