Sleeping Giant outdoor adventure flat

I am shocked at the positive reviews for this place. It was a terrible stay. The room was dirty, and we felt uncomfortable using the facilities. The “bathroom” had only a sink and a shower, no toilet. There was no hot water, and when we asked the host, she told us to use the outdoor ones, which was very inconvenient. There was no network signal in the area and no WiFi, making it difficult to communicate or plan our trip. The room was freezing, with only one small portable heater that barely worked. At night, it reduced power and stopped providing warmth, leaving us cold and uncomfortable. The location was fine, and while the host offered to drop us at the bus stop in the morning, it was only a 7 minute walk, so we just walked. Unfortunately, that was the only positive thing about our stay.

Really cute place, great location, lovely hosts! Cottage felt very cosy and clean, great to have a heater. Lots of amazing walks nearby. Will return if in the area :)

The hosts were welcoming, friendly and even gave us a lift the next morning. The venue was clean and tidy and had a microwave and cutlery etc which was more than we were expecting for a bunkhouse apartment. Was great for us as we were walking and wasn't too far off our route.

We didn't dislike anything really we had a good stay. The only things we would mention was that the room was a little cold and a private toilet for the apartment would be great if that was ever a possibility in the future.

Great location for hiking, and nice pubs nearby for the evenings! It's not fancy - twin beds, the kitchen is just toaster/kettle/microwave, and it has a sink but the shower and toilets are outside - but I thought it was very good value for money.

If we'd been staying longer, it would have been nice to have a little fridge in the apartment. We didn't spot that towels weren't provided (but fortunately we had some in the car anyway!).
