Perfectly located charming apartment MAGDALENA HOUSE for true connoisseurs

Fantastic apartment, right in the centre of Haarlem and close to the shops and a great selection of bars and restaurants. it's modern and stylish and has all the facilities you need and a little more! It's located on a quiet street without traffic and has good central heating if you travel in Winter! Mick is very friendly and accommodating and makes sure you know what you need to know and have what you need to have. The extra touches the apartment has with the decor and furnishings makes it extra special and is very much appreciated! We loved our stay at Magdalena House and will definitely be booking to come here again!

WiFi can be a bit on and off but we found best place was the bedroom to get a signal and it did the trick for what we needed!

Good location to center and bus stops, nice quite area

better lighting in bathroom and over the table when eating, bed was comfortable but very low, getting in and out was a bit difficult when your a senior. A toaster would have been a nice addition

Perfect location, everything was fine

Cosy apartment for a couple with a great back yard that we were able to take advantage of on our last two days. Very nice neighborhood with quiet streets and lots of flower boxes, easy access on foot to all the sights of Haarlem as well as the train station. The kitchen is very compact but we managed to prepare our meals.

I would recommend a bath mat for the shower since the tiles are quite slippery and also a shelf for the soap, shampoo etc. The WIFI is really spotty, it comes and goes.

kitchen is well equipped enabling easy self catering. close to city centre and not too far from train station. apartment was clean and the host was polite and gave clear instructions. apartment was ready early which helped as we arrived earlier than check in time. nice outside area though not private

when travelling I really only need a comfy bed, good wifi and good facilities to make food. though the apartment is modern and has good facilities main concerns were: * the bed is VERY low. basically reaching only mid calf which was very uncomfortable getting in and out of. it also has a wooden frame all around and thus your feet and knees bang into it at night. my husband opted to rather sleep on the couch as it was too uncomfortable in the bed * the outside area is overlooked directly by the neighbours patio and thus not private at all. their patio also overlooks the living room and since it was nice weather they were out there most of the time so we needed to keep the curtains closed and couldnt really use the patio at all * wifi dropped very often and would not connect for long periods of time. we did not report this as we had an esim we could use but this can be a big issue for travellers *no space to unpack and put suitcases. the only closet was used for linen leaving only very low small drawers in the bedroom that was not enough. i would remove the bookcase and rather have space for suitcases or shelves to unpack * the apartment has too many random decor pieces cluttering it. there was no space to put suitcases and I was very scared of forgetting something as with various decor everywhere its easy to overlook something. also took up floor space making the apartment feel crammed *no aircon and apartment is very warm

Mick is a wonderful and caring host, always available and eager to cater to any need. The neighborhood is quiet and yet close to public transportation and supermarkets. Magdalena House is really a home far away from home. Haarlem is a lovely city full of good restaurants or cafes, nice shops, and a vibrant market place on Saturdays.
